Maybe the main news for me is that IA confirmed the 5.1 remix for TAAB:

I'm pretty sure he doesn't talk about Catfish Rising.

So, let's sum it up: Aqualung 5.1 in october, Bruce/Ian/Justin show in december, new album in april (whether IA or JT), TAAB tour in april onwards, TAAB 5.1 somewhere also in 2012. I guess we have nothing to complain about.

Just one thing about no Martin: everybody seems to claim this as a fault of IA that he doesn't play the TAAB tour, but I think it's Martin who said to let pass this round. Not that I want to blame him; I think we should blame no-one! They guys are 64-ish - be happy Ian does the TAAB tour at all.
Above, everybody seems to think Martin needs in this tour because of his effort for JT in the past. But I'd like to see it in a way that Florian can add flaunting effort in the future! You all talk about what a nostalgia-act Tull is because the never-changing setlist (which I subscribe, by the way, mostly - although the IA shows (!) have this problem less), but some of you are purely nostalgic too in this sense by 'amortize' Florian! Welcome him as a delight, he's so good and growing in the last tours.

Irgendwie war ja eigentlich klar, daß diese ganze Überraschungsnummer ein Rohrkrepierer ist. Unserer kleinen Lieblingsband zu Gute halten kann man noch, daß das wohl auf DCs Mist gewachsen ist ...

Ich sage ganz klar, TAAB ist mein persönliches JT Lieblingsalbum und es gibt nur zwei Wege, das in diesen Tagen gebührend aufzuführen: entweder dem eigenem Alter entsprechend (und somit Tribut zollend, daß man nicht mehr singt wie mit Mitte 20, etc.) "stripped down", umarrangiert, oder was auch immer - oder aber *richtig* auf die Kacke hauend, so wie Waters "The Wall" aufgeführt hat, wie die Floyd und Genesis Tributes laufen, etc. Also mit enormem musikalischen (Gastmusiker!) und technischem Aufwand. Also keine Musiker aus den Yellow Pages, sondern NAMEN. Also keine "Videoprojektion" und ein paar Dias, sondern fette LEDs, etc. pp.

Die "Ian Anderson Band" wird sich diesen ganzen Firlefanz nicht leisten (wollen!), so wie sie es sich nicht leistet, JETHRO TULL das ganze spielen zu lassen.

Ich habe bei Facebook (wo die Kritik über die ganze Geheimniskrämerei übrigens so ähnlich ist, wie hier) kommentiert, daß wenn es schon nen Ersatz-Gitarristen gibt, gibt es dann auch nen Ersatz Sänger? Ich hoffe was anderes, aber -ehrlich gesagt- graut es mir davor, IA TAAB in Gänze singen zu hören ...

Der Aqualung RI stehe ich sehr positiv und aufgeschlossen gegenüber und in diesem Sinne ist für mich die wahre Meldung dieser Nebensatz, daß Wilson ein weiteres Album fertig gemischt hat ... was aber ja eigentlich auch schon klar war. Bleibt zu träumen, daß da irgendjemand in irgendeinem Studio vielleicht noch ein poaar Bänder mit ein paar unveröffentlichten Mittelteilen ...

Schade für die Bekloppten, die sich echt die halbe Nacht um die Ohren geschlagen haben ...
